Charles W. Dickson, 79, of Mammoth, formerly of Pleasant Unity, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at RNC of Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. He was born Feb. 27, 1938, in Derry, a son of the late John M. and Leora I. (Bush) Dickson. Prior to retirement, Chuck worked 34 years at Standard Steel, Latrobe, and had previously served with the Air Force. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 8643 and former member of Pleasant Unity Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna M. (Dreistadt) Dickson; an infant daughter, Darlene; two brothers, Karl J. and William Dickson; and two sisters, Marion Moore and Betty Dickson. He is survived by six children, Gail Heskey and husband, Gary, Marsha Cochenour and husband, Robin, Maureen Harvan and husband, Tim, Charles W. Dickson II and wife, Cathy, Lisa Ulishney and husband, Bob, and Amy Beth Kiel and husband, Mike; 15 grandchildren, Neil Guzy, Greg Guzy and wife, Heather, Corrianne Newcomer and husband, Lee, Patrick Heskey and wife, Maria, Miranda Jones and husband, Seth, Mallorie Mullin and husband, Korey, Martin Linden, Andrew Harvan and girlfriend, Jessie Carter, Anthony Harvan and girlfriend, Kelsie Harenchar, Nichole Virgili and husband, Ron, Jennifer Stranko and boyfriend, Jake Bucina, Robby and Molly Ulishney, Judy Hartman and husband, Zach, and Julie Marchewka and husband, Justin, and ten great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isaiah, Everly, Claire, Austin, Giavana, Kendyl, Avery, Jakob and Hannah. Also surviving are four brothers, John, Vaughn, James and Donald Dickson; a sister, Ruth Dickson; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. William J. Kiel officiating.
