Dolores (Huffman) Johnston

Dolores Johnston, 92, of Greensburg, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  She was born April 23, 1925 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Regina Helen (Larkin) Huffman.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, the Thimble Sisters and the Studebaker Club.  More recently, she had been a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul.  She formerly had been a volunteer for St. Paul School Cafeteria, Cathedral Grey Ladies, Catholic Charities, Rosary Confraternity and the American Red Cross.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Johnston on July 26, 2004; her daughter, Kathleen Ann Johnston; her brother, Joseph E. Huffman; and her sister, Bernadette L. Huffman.  She is survived by three sons, Kenneth E. Johnston and wife Felicia, of Texas, Thomas G. Johnston and wife Carol Sue, of Greensburg and John A. Johnston and wife Julie, of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Kristopher Johnston (Wendy), Jennifer Batovsky (Brian), Melanie Johnston, Matthew Johnston (Michelle), Katie Johnston and fiancée Keith Heines, Rachel Johnston and Eric Johnston; three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Zachery and Scarlette; one anticipated great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cerebral Palsy Association of Pittsburgh, 2828 Broadway Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146.  www.bachafh.com
