James B. “Skip” Gallagher, III, 73, of Unity Township, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born March 30, 1943 in Latrobe, a son of the late James B., Jr. and Gertrude (Barnett) Gallagher.  Prior to retirement he worked as a heavy equipment operator through Operating Engineer’s Local #66 with Donegal Construction.  He was a member of VFW Post #33 Greensburg, VFW Post #8643 Pleasant Unity, Amvets Post #88 Greensburg, Calumet Club and several other social clubs.  He is survived by his wife: Joyce J. (Scarbrough) Gallagher; 2 sons: James Gallagher of Pittsburgh and Patrick Gallagher of Greensburg; 3 step-children: Stanley “Zeke” Kelly and his wife Donna of Marietta, GA, Joe Kelly and his wife Sue of North Huntingdon and Sandy (Kelly) Vesco and her husband John of Latrobe; and 5 grandchildren: Nick, Stan, Savannah, Connor and Liam.  Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM Sunday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, where a funeral liturgy will be held at 10 AM Monday.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  www.bachafh.com
