Judith Marie (Fontana) Massari, 70, of Greensburg, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, Pittsburgh after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born December 9, 1946 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John G. and Lena (Argenta) Fontana.  She had worked for over 35 years for Bell Telephone Company, Bell Atlantic and Verizon.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg and the Telephone Pioneers.  Judy loved the beach, a place where she was in her element and gave her solitude.  She loved fun in the sun.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Massari on August 30, 2003; maternal grandparents, Attilio and Maria Argenta; her paternal grandparents, Andy and Mary Fontana; her father and mother-in-law, Bert and Angeline (Testa) Massari; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Massari) Sturnick.  She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Massari) Bittner of Penn Township; her grandson, Zachary Bittner of Penn Township; her sister, Sandy Fontana of Delmont; her godmother, Aunt Mary Fontana of Irwin; her Aunt Terri Argenta of Delmont; her brothers-in-law, Frank and wife Geraldine Massari and Michael Sturnick all of Greensburg; many loving nieces and nephews; and several cousins.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family would like to thank the staff at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC for their excellent care.  www.bachafh.com
