Rose M. Alms, 77, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe. She was born January 4, 1941 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine (Skatell) Vallozzi. She was an entrepreneur, where she was a hotel owner and general manager. Rose was a trailblazer for women in the workforce. She was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Point. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Neil Alms on November 8, 2016; and her brother, Robert Vallozzi. She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Wolff and husband Matthew, Lisa Spitzer and husband Mark, Deborah Fox and husband Paul, and Andrea Cuda and husband Peter; 14 grandchildren, Alexandra, Gabrielle and Madeleine Wolff, Lauren (Sheppard), Madeline (Savage), Anna (Ulery) and Samantha (Long) Spitzer, Justin, Stephen, Andrew and Abigail Fox, and Marco, Nicholas and Domenic Cuda; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Vallozzi II and wife Janet and Anthony Vallozzi; her sister, Lynda Vallozzi; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 10 AM Saturday in Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 501 Fairfield Dr., Greensburg with The Rev. Frank S. Podolinski, Jr. officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery Mausoleum.
