Steve Skapura, Jr., 93, of Greensburg (Humphrey), died Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born July 14, 1923 in Trauger, a son of the late Steve and Anna (Loboda) Skapura.  Prior to retirement he was a carpenter for Bill Woodburn Construction, Hempfield Township.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: infant Steve, John “Vassey” Skapura, Joseph Skapura, Katherine DePrimio, Ann Giron, Mary Barton, Susan Henry and Evelyn Forish. He is survived by his sister: Helen Bailey, of Columbus, OH; his brother: Mike Skapura, of Humphreys; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 PM Tuesday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Panachida service begins at 9:15 AM Wednesday followed by Divine Liturgy at 10: AM in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Trauger with The Rev. Paul-Alexander Shutt, OSB as celebrant. Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 5:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
