Frank D. Righino, 94, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, due to complications of a brief illness. He was born April 12, 1924 in Turtle Creek, a son of the late Frank and Yvonne (DeCoster) Righino. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Alcoa for 34 years. He was a Navy veteran serving on submarines during WWII. Frank was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School and a member of Bucktail Rod and Gun Club, Emporium. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had many lifelong friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Estella A. (Verner) Righino; his daughter, Faye Augustine; two infant sons, Chris and Mark Righino; his granddaughter, Amy; and three sisters, Delores Brown, Eleanor Ward and Yvonne O’Lear. He is survived by six children, Yvonne (Ronald) Mulhorn, David (Marlene) Righino, Lorraine (Dave) Elder, Gary (Caroline) Righino, Rachelle (Mark) Repine, and Brian (Colleen) Righino; his son-in-law, Dick Augustine; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service we be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 12 PM in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Chapel, Greensburg. LEO M.
