Grace A. Halula, 85, of Livermore, Calif. (formerly of Greensburg), died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Livermore, CA. She was born December 27, 1932 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry B. and Margaret M. (Johns) Myers. Grace was raised in Marguerite, PA and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1950. Grace was a member of Charter Oak United Methodist Church, Greensburg and former member of Bradenville United Methodist Church, Bradenville. At both churches, Grace was a member of the choir. At Bradenville, Grace was also part of the Adult Fellowship Group, and was the Children's Choir Director. She had previously worked at the former Weltz’s Religious Supply and Gifts, Greensburg. She was known for her beautiful singing and became a gifted painter after watching The Joy Of Painting with Bob Ross. She was also talented in cross-stitch, embroidery, and crocheting, and was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She was an excellent cook and was highly praised for her contributions to church fellowship dinners. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Raymond A. Halula, 7 brothers, James, Wilbert, Harry, Edgar, Russell, Melvin and Charles Myers, and her sister, Margaret Cox. She is survived by 3 children, Rachele L. Howard and her husband The Rev. Dr. Donald W. Howard of Van Buren Point, NY, Terrence L. Halula and wife Susan Halula of Livermore, CA and Darla M. Thieler and husband George Thieler of Champion; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Howard, Carrie Riddle, Joshua Thieler and wife Becky Thieler, and Elise Halula and her fiancé Tyler Welch; 2 great granddaughters, Kiera and Alyssa Riddle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 11, at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 12, at Bradenville United Methodist Church, 5168 Route 982 (High St), Bradenville, with The Rev. Dr. Donald W. Howard officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township, Greensburg.
