Harry E. Myers, 92, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. He was born August 14, 1926 in Hunker, a son of the late Charles and Adella (Evans) Myers. Prior to retirement he had been employed by the former Walworth Valve Company and Robertshaw Controls. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Greensburg. He was an Army veteran serving in WWII with the 170th combat engineers in the South Pacific. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg for over 50 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” Myers and Florence Yarnell Myers; his brother, Robert Myers; and his sister, Betty Mottle. He is survived by his son, Wilmer “Bill” Myers and wife Sue, of Michigan; two step-sons, Thomas Yarnell and wife Jane, of South Greensburg, and William Yarnell and wife Vicki, of Greensburg; his step-daughter, Carol Lori and husband George, of Maryland; two grandsons, Todd and Chris Myers; and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dawn Lynn Check officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. www.bachafh.com
