James P. Delesandro, Sr., 77, of Greensburg, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born August 5, 1939 in Greensburg, a son of the late Carl J. and Mary J. (DiVincenzo) Delesandro.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by A.M.I. Duduco, Inc.  He was Catholic by faith.  Jim’s passion was the environment and educating youth in fishing and boating safety.  He was a 20 year member and former president of the Loyalhanna Bassmasters, current member of Bass Bones Fishing Club, a 44 year member and former president of the Pennsylvania Bass Federation Nation Western Region and a 10 year member and president of the Keystone Park Friends Group.  He was a certified safety boating course instructor for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.  Jim was an envoy member of XI Eta Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.  He had been recognized by the commission as boating instructor of the year for Pennsylvania.  He was a member of the Pittsburgh Boating Council and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1480.  Jim was a graduate of Greensburg Senior High School and the Penn State Management Program.  He is survived by his wife of 54 and a half years: Patricia A. (Frank) Delesandro; his son: James P. Delesandro, Jr. and wife Rochelle of New Stanton; his daughter: Michelle A. Delesandro of Export; his granddaughter: Danielle M. Delesandro; and his grand dogger: Prissy.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  www.bachafh.com
