James W. Stuchell

James W. Stuchell, 82, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born September 14, 1935 in Greensburg, a son of the late Merle L. and Martha L. (Jackson) Stuchell.  Prior to retirement he had been employed in hotel management.  He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg.  He was a 1953 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Jim was a member of the AARP, the Roosevelt Club of Hempfield Township, American Legion Post 981 in South Greensburg where he had held office for 47 years, VFW Post 211 in Youngwood, Hecla Sportmsmans Club and the Valley Green Golf and Country Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rocco Procida. He is survived by his wife Irma J. (Urbanowski) Stuchell; his children, James W. Stuchell, Jr. and wife Barbara of Florida, Julie L. Procida of Pittsburgh, and Jeff W. Stuchell and wife Bev of Greensburg; 6 grandchildren: Jacob, Alexander, Sarah and Shane Stuchell; Rocco and Zachary Procida; 2 great grandchildren: Abigail and Gabriel Stuchell; and his brother, Merle L. Stuchell and his wife Linda of Dallas, Texas.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  Full military honors will be accorded by the Amercian Legion Post 981 Honor Guard.
