Ronald E. Holsopple, Sr., 71, of Latrobe, died Friday, July 27, 2018 in his home.  He was born February 25, 1947 in Greensburg, a son of the late James E. and Mary A. (Slezak) Holsopple.  Prior to retirement he had worked as a carpenter.  He was a member of Church of the Brethren, Southwest Greensburg and was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James K. and Donald Keith Holsopple.  He is survived by his wife, Donna L. (Moore) Holsopple; two sons, Ronald E. Holsopple, Jr. and wife Christine J., of Greensburg, and Timothy Lee Holsopple and wife Leighanne, of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren, Samantha, Kayla, Molly, Kristofor and Bengamin; two brothers, Dennis J. Holsopple and wife Kathy, of Virginia, and Gary R. Holsopple and wife Beverly, of Vermont; two sisters, Patricia Malingowski and husband Raymond, of Eighty Four, and Anita Harr and husband Morton, of Latrobe; his sister-in-law, Karen Holsopple, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, where a funeral service will begin at 12 PM with The Rev. Dr. Harrison Smith officiating.  Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #981 Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Brethren, 554 Stanton St., Greensburg, PA 15601.  www.bachafh.com
