William T. Menold

William T. “Bill” Menold, 88, of Greensburg, died Friday, September 28, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born September 23, 1930 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Harry A. and Catherine (Griffin) Menold.  Prior to retirement he had been a driver salesman for Purity Distributing, Penn Hills.  Bill was an Army veteran.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Neff) Menold in 2011; an infant brother, John; and his brother, Harry Menold.  He is survived by his son, Jay B. Menold, of Pittsburgh; his brother, Robert Menold, of Monroeville; his sister, Sylvia Canuti, of California; his longtime companion, Jeanne Griffith, of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews.  There will be no public visitation.  Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 AM Friday, October 5, 2018 at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg with the Rev. Paul Hoover officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to dementia research or the Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  www.bachafh.com
