Cara Beth (Portser) Holmes

Cara Beth Holmes, 35, of Jeannette, died Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  She was born June 20, 1987 in Latrobe, a daughter of William T. Portser and the late Denise L. (Frye) Portser.  Cara was a graduate of Canton High School class of 2005 and had worked as a home health aide.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Holmes, her son, Blake Holmes, maternal grandparents, Clair and Thelma (Blake) Frye and paternal grandfather, Jack Portser.  In addition to her father and step mother Glenda Portser, she is survived by her daughter, Vera Holmes, her brother, Zachary Portser and wife Kim, her sister, Amanda MacAllister and husband Jason, paternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Lowes) Portser and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg, at which time a funeral service will be held with The Rev.
