Mary worked at the Westmoreland Farm Bureau on Mt. Pleasant Street, Greensburg as a cashier in the Warehouse. After her first child was born, she quit her job, as Mary put it “I am taking care of my own baby”. She remained a homemaker for the rest of her life.

Mary taught pre-primary four- and five-year-old Sunday school for 30 years and assisted other teachers for 17 more years. She and her husband were able to give each child moving up to Primary Class a BIBLE.
