Daniel LeRoy Aller, 82, of Acme, died Thursday, May 6, 2021 in his home. He was born February 4, 1939 in Mount Pleasant, a son of the late Elizabeth Anna Dillinger. He had been the owner and operator of Dan’s Transmission, Greensburg. He was a member of Norvelt Union Church and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Dan was also a member of The Flying Octogenarians, a very elite group of pilots who have piloted an aircraft at 80 years old. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Aller. He is survived by his wife, Daisy I. (Smith) Reynolds-Aller; two sons, Daniel Aller, of Acme, and David Aller and wife Flower, of Phoenix, AZ; his daughter, Christie Upshaw, of Va.; two stepsons, Royal Reynolds and wife Annette, of Greensburg, and Roger Reynolds and wife Kimberly, of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Phyllis Griffith, of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Monday in Norvelt Union Church, 2339 Mount Pleasant Road, Norvelt with Pastor David Greer officiating.
