Gary Palmer Obituary

Gary Palmer, 69, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 19, 2021 in his home.  He was born August 13, 1951 in Brownsville, a son of the late Wilbert Gene and Juanita Pearl (Houston) Palmer.  Prior to retirement he had been employed by Fulton Piano and Organ Company.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greensburg.  Gary was deeply loved by his family.  He was admired for his strength, bravery, wit and zest for knowledge around his passions.  He was a lover of rock ‘n roll music, cars, hunting, the outdoors, animals, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was also a history buff and always loved reciting his latest found facts at family gatherings.  He loved his family, and his two young granddaughters could make him light up like no one else.  He and his beloved wife of 44 years looked forward to every visit with them, their daughter and son-in-law.  We will remember him lovingly, “on this harvest moon” and always.  Gary is survived by his wife, Christine B. (Brisbane) Palmer; his daughter, Katie Rivera and husband Alex, of Croton on Hudson, NY; his two precious granddaughters, Eva Jane and Carolina Maria; brother, Dean Palmer and wife Deborah, of Florida; sister-in-law, Rebecca Brisbane, of Greensburg; niece, Maria Pearl; and two nephews, Dean and Nicholas.  There will be no public visitation.  A private memorial service took place at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Memorial donations in the name of Gary Palmer may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of his late mother.  www.bachafh.com
