James A. Shifko

James A. Shifko, 62, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  He was born November 21, 1959, in Greensburg.  He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg.  He was the purchasing manager for Penn State Tool and Die and had previously worked at PPG Industries, South Greensburg and Sony, New Stanton.  Jim was a remarkable man who was very proud of his family.  He loved University of North Carolina basketball and had the funniest laugh.  He was always there for anyone who needed him.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard F. “Dick” Shifko.  Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce (Kolar) Shifko; his daughter, Jessica Carini who was the light of his life, and son-in-law, Nick who he loved joking with; his mother, Angelina “Dolly” (Gentile) Shifko, of Greensburg; brother, Richard Shifko and wife Trish, of Chillicothe, OH; sister, Cheryl Cirelli and husband Marco, of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Rose Grabiak, of Scottdale; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  www.bachafh.com
