Patricia A. (Maffit) Barbour

Patricia A. Barbour, 77, of Unity Township, died Monday, March 15, 2021, at her home. She was born April 18, 1943, in Mutual, a daughter of the late Charles O. Sr. and Gertrude A. (Geiger) Maffit. She was a graduate of Hurst High School, class of 1961, a former member of Pleasant Unity and Mt. View PTOs, Homemaker's Association of Mutual, Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack 474 in Norvelt and an election board poll worker at Mutual precinct. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Barbour Sr.; her sister, Shirley J. Weaver; and brothers, Charles O. Jr. and Raymond E. Maffit. She is survived by her son, George F. Barbour Jr. and wife, Sarah, of Greensburg; two grandsons, Grant and Deacon; and several nieces and nephews. She dearly loved and will miss her cats, Romeo, Mia and Spooky, and all of the neighborhood cats she cared for. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township. Please be prepared to adhere to all current health guidelines, including face masks and social distancing.
