Rose Ann (Spino) Falo

Rose Ann (Spino) Falo, 90, a lifelong resident of Greensburg, PA, was born April 5, 1934, and passed peacefully on April 6, 2024.

Rose was the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Marino) Spino, of Greensburg, PA, who preceded her in death, along with three siblings, Pearl Mench, Mary Buhl, and Michael Spino, Jr.

Rose is survived by one son, Dr. Louis D. Falo, Jr. and wife Hilary, of Bradford Woods, PA; and one daughter, Suzanne Lingenfelter and husband Dr. Kyle Lingenfelter, of Punxsutawney, PA. 

Her grandchildren were the love and pride and joy of her life: Nathan Lingenfelter, Mia Lingenfelter, L. Dominick Falo, III, Gabriel Falo, and Isabella Falo, all of Pittsburgh. 

Rose was employed for 25 years by Bell Telephone based in Greensburg, and then transitioned to the Verizon headquarters located in Pittsburgh.  Rose began her career as a switch board operator and was promoted to regional manager.  Rose was a member of the Bell Atlantic Pioneers, an organization created in 1911 to perpetuate the ideals and traditions of the industry and promote the fellowships that were formed as a natural result of their teamwork. 

Rose treasured her family time most of all and enjoyed the dear friends that she spent time with traveling and attending trivia nights.  Holiday baking was one of Rose’s favorite pastimes, along with family and friends enjoying her homemade Italian red sauce.  Rose was a dedicated fan of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers and Steelers football. 

Family and friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 1 PM Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:30 PM in Caritas Christi of Seton Hill.  Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Pittsburgh Dermatology Skin and Cancer Research, 128 Park Plaza, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.  Please include in memo: “Dermatology Skin and Cancer Research”.  Memorial contributions may also be made to Caritas Christi of Seton Hill, 129 DePaul Center Rd., Greensburg, PA 15601.  Please include in memo: “In memory of Rose Falo”.
