Kathryn S. Mooney, 88, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Brookdale Personal Care Home, Unity Township.  She was born October 13, 1927 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Wilson and Edna (Henry) Shields.  She and her husband had been the owners and operators of the Dairy Queen in Greensburg.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son: Timothy; and 3 brothers: Richard, John and Samuel Shields.  She is survived by her husband: Gerald B. Mooney; a son: Thomas N. Mooney and his wife Patti; a daughter: Tracy A. Ruffner all of Greensburg; 5 grandchildren: Kelly Knowles (Ben), Christina Braun (Jason), Jennifer Mooney (Jody), Christopher Ruffner (Christine) and Kayla Ruffner; and 6 and one anticipated great-grandchildren.  There will be no public visitation.  A private service will be held for the family.  Leo M.
