Sheila H. Sonnie, 76, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born March 21, 1941 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jessica (Gerwig) Hoffer.  Prior to retirement she had been a cashier at the parking garage for the City of Greensburg.  She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Southwest Greensburg, the VFW Post #33 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #981 Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a graduate of Jeannette High School.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers: Jack, Harry, Harold, Dale, Raymond and Buddy; and her sister: Twila “Dolly” Mattucci.  She is survived by her husband: James C. Sonnie; her son: James K. Sonnie and wife Stephanie of Latrobe; two daughters: Sheila Renee Rowe and husband Lenny of Greensburg and Cherie Diane Brasile of Waynesburg and fiancée Paul Tedrow; six grandchildren: Nicholas Ringling, twins Michael and Justin Brasile, Hannah Brasile, Michael Sonnie and Cameron Sonnie; two great-grandchildren: Hayden and Dominick Ringling; her sister: Harriet “Janie” Good of Irwin; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 10 AM Saturday in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  VFW Post #33 Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 7 PM Friday in the funeral home.  www.bachafh.com
